Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Time Candy Cane Christmas Card

No matter how large (or how small) the holiday, my late mother had a pinwheel to celebrate the occasion. In her memory, I created a fun & cute candy cane pinwheel using the Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Time stamp set and Sweetest Borders Dies for this month’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop.

Paper & Measurements:

  • Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ Whisper White
  • Next Layer: 5 1/4″ x4″ Heartwarming Hugs DSP
  • Next Layer: 4 7/8″ x 3 1/4″ Whisper White
  • And a piece of scrap Whisper White for stamping

Stamping and Die Cutting:

  1. Stamp 8 candy canes from the Sweetest Time Stamp Set in real red
  2. Stamp a peppermint candy in Granny Apple Green
  3. Die cut the candy canes and peppermint using Sweetest Borders Dies

Assembly:

  • Adhere your DSP panels to your card base
  • Round the edges of your Whisper Wight and adhere to DSP
  • Arrange and adhere your Candy Canes
  • Adhere your peppermint to center
  • Stamp your sentiment from Sweetest Time in Granny Apple Green

To me, helping someone put together that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love. And, that is exactly what I’m here to help you do (and I bet you’ll teach me some new tricks of the trade too)!
