Stampin’ Up! From All of Us Happy Happy Birthday Card

I was wondering what I could create for The Spot Challenge #129 Things with Wings, so I took the Ostrich and Tucan from the Stampin’ Up! From All of Us stamp set. Tucans have wings, right!?  lol

PROJECT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

The main ingredients are: 

  • Stamp Set(s):  From All Of Us
  • Cardstock:  Whisper wight
  • Ink:  Basic grey, Pacific Point,Old olive,Pear Pizzazz
  • Watercolor Pencils  Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Night Of Navy, Real Red Early Espresso,and Garden green

TOOLS  

  • Paper trimmer
  • Paper snips/scissors
  • Bone Folder
  • Adhesive(s)
  • Your choice (i.e. Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Seal+, multipurpose liquid glue)
  • Double-sided Foam Dimensionals
  • Sponge

  • Ink:  Basic grey, Pacific Point,Old olive,Pear Pizzazz
  • Watercolor Pencils  Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Night Of Navy, Real Red Early Espresso,and Garden green

  • Paper trimmer
  • Paper snips/scissors
  • Bone Folder
  • Adhesive(s)
  • Your choice (i.e. Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Seal+, multipurpose liquid glue)
  • Double-sided Foam Dimensionals
  • Sponge

TECHNIQUES 

  • Paper Trimming/Cutting
  • Scoring Paper
  • Stamping
  • Fussy Cutting
  • Sponge Blending

MEASUREMENTS

  • Cardbase:  Whisper White cardstock size 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” 
  • Card Front:  Whisper White Panel size  4 3/4”x 5”
  • Scrap:  Whisper White scrap (or small piece) approximately 3-7/8” x 3/4″ (for Stamping the animal stamp)

INSTRUCTIONS

ASSEMBLY

  • Cut/trim/score all cardstock 

Sponge Blending & Stamping

Part 1

First you need to sponge blend on your 4 ¾”x5”  

  • First I sponged Pacific Blue on the top portion of the cardstock
  • Then I sponged Pear Pizzazz on the bottom and blended in some Old Olive 
  • Next, I drew some hills and grass with Garden Green Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils
  • Finally, stamp the tree on Basic Gray and color

Part 2

Stamp your animals on you scrap piece of Whisper White with Basic Gray

  • Color the Ostrich and Tucann 
  • Fussy cut them out

Putting it All Together

  1. Adhere the panel to Whisper White cardbase
  2. Pop up the Ostrich and Tucan with Foam Dimensionals
  3. Stamp Happy Happy Birthday in Basic Gray

PRESTO!  The project is complete!
