Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Time Thanksgiving Card

My First Spot Challenge (#128)

This was a fun project. This card features the Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Time, Stampin’ Up! Autumn Greetings, and Stampin’ Up! Autumn Goodness stamp sets.

PROJECT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

The main ingredients are: 

  • Stamp Set:  Sweetest Time, Autumn Greetings, Autumn Goodness
  • Dies: Sweetest Borders,Autumn Essentials,Autumn Wheelbarrow  
  • Punch(es): Posted Stamp 
  • Cardstock: Merry Merlot, Bumblebee, Crumb Cake Gold Foil 
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP): Gilded Autumn Specialty 
  • Ink: Merry Merlot,Bumblebee

TOOLS  

  • Paper trimmer
  • Die Cutting Machine
  • Paper snips/scissors
  • Bone Folder
  • Adhesive(s)
  • Your choice (i.e. Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Seal+, multipurpose liquid glue)
  • Double-sided Foam Dimensionals
  • Watercolor pencil

TECHNIQUES  

  • Paper Trimming/Cutting
  • Scoring Paper
  • Stamping
  • Die Cutting
  • Paper Punching
  • Fussy Cutting
  • Coloring with watercolor pencil 

MEASUREMENTS

  • Card Base:  Merry Merlot cardstock size 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” 
  • Card Front:  Bumblebee Panel size  5 ½” x 4”
  • Inside Panel:  Whisper White Panel size  5 ½” x4”
  • Designer Series Paper Panel:  51/4” x 3 ⅞”
  • Die cut shapes (pull from your stash of scraps if you can)you will nee.1 pease of 2”x 8”Merry Merlot, 1 2”x8” Crumb Cake, 1/2”x8” gold foil and one 3”x3” Bumblebee for stamp punch
  • Crumb Cake for Samping flowers 3×3” And a piece of whisper wight4”x4” for stamping Candles (pull from your stash of scraps if you can)

INSTRUCTIONS

ASSEMBLY

  • Cut/trim/score all cardstock and DSP as described above

Die Cutting & Punching

  • Using your die cutting machine, cut 6leaves from the Autumn Essentials die set(6 Bumblebee,6 Merry, Merlot and 6 Gold Foil.Then cut 2 fern leaves from theSweetest Border in each color. 
  • Die cut your flower 
  • Punch your sentiment with stamp Punch

Stamping

  • Stamp the candle from Sweetest Time in Merry Merlot, the flame in Bumblebee (fussy cut out one candle ) 
  • Stamp the flower from Autumn Goodness( color flowers in Merry Merlot and Crumb Cake) 
  • Stamp a Flower on the whisper wight inside panel
  • Stamp your sentiment 

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

  1. Adhere the first panel ( Bumblebee Panel size  5 ½” x 4”) to the Merry Merlot  card base using the adhesive of your choice 
  2. Adhere the second panel (your  DSP) to the top of the first panel
  3. Arrange your die cut leaf pieces as per your preference and adhere the leaf bunch to your card 
  4. Adhere your candle to the center of your leaf arrangement
  5. Adhere your flower with dementionals
  6. Adhere your sentiment with dementinals
  7. Adhere your stamped inside panel 

VOILA!  The project is complete!
